Corporate anthropologist Rachel Bondi says women have to overcome barriers in at least eight areas if they are to equal men in achieving earned wealth.

Ms. Bondi is author of a new guide to women's wealth, “The Wealth Gap: Bridging the Eight Gaps to Women's Wealth” (iUniverse; January 2007).

"The wage gap is just one issue holding women back," says Ms. Bondi, who is based in Irvine. "There are at least eight gaps women must overcome in order to retire well that men never face.”

Ms. Bondi says it’s vital to first define what would make each individual woman wealthy combining emotional satisfaction as well as dollars and cents. Think wealth, not wage, she says.
